Building the site

Posted by Lijsbet on October 19, 2011

As I'm working on the new web site, I'm noticing that we've got just a few photos from events BS (that's Before Symon), and so I've posted just a few. On the other hand, when I get around to posting Jantien's apprentice ceremony photos, there are probably two dozen good ones.

This underscores a couple of things.

First, that Symon is doing us a great service in documenting what we're doing. (This also means that I can't find much in the way of good photos of Symon!)

Secondly, that we need more photos! If you have good photos of any CGL events, we could use them on the web site.

I would encourage more documentation in the future. However, please pay attention to the details; we want pictures in which there are no modern inconsistancies... like someone taking photos.

The new (again) CGL Website

Posted by Lijsbet on October 17, 2011

Greetings from Lijsbet -

Yes, indeed - we've got new software that we think (hope/suspect) will serve us better than the last application did. We've used it for much of the past year over on the BrethrenCon.com site, and it seems to be a good fit.

As much of the old content is probably lost to the aether, I've very much appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to check out what you have in your files that you'd like to see posted here. Also, we've had a lot of changes in the past couple of years, both in people that are and are not involved, and in folks moving away. Like Gemany. Please take a couple of minutes to take the following poll.

Oh! And there's an RSS feed! Subscribe to keep these blog posts coming.
